Why won't my washing machine drain?
The most common causes are a blocked filter or drain hose, a foreign object (a coin or sock) in the pump, or a failed drain pump. On some models a faulty pressure switch or control fault gives the same symptom. If cleaning the filter doesn't help, the pump or its wiring needs checking.
What does the error code on my washing machine mean?
Error codes differ by brand and model. Send us the make, model and code when you contact us. It helps us narrow down the likely fault and bring the right parts.
Why is my washing machine so loud when it spins?
A loud rumbling or grinding on spin usually points to worn drum bearings. Banging can be caused by worn shock absorbers or an unbalanced load. Bearings should be replaced early, because continued use can damage the drum and seals.
Is it worth repairing a washing machine?
Pumps, door locks, seals, brushes and valves are usually worth repairing. On older machines with bearing or drum damage, we'll tell you honestly if replacing the machine is the better option.
